                                            THE PASSING OF BARBARA WALTERS

For all writers:
We thank her for being the greatest reporter. So glad I had the opportunity to meet her.
She asked questions that could not be denied She was known for her direct insight for problems of the world. I remember when she asked the Shah of Iran....in a country of intolerance for burka-clothed women who were denied education, not thinking of the consequence, not considering "beheading" for her insolence " can your wife lead this country"
. And as we and the rest of the world waited with baited breath and racing hearts for the answer, she was NOT afraid to ask for the truth. Throughout her career she persevered to ask about women and their human rights, no matter what.
In the all - male dominated TV broadcasting network, she struggled
to be in the right and fought for her convictions despite. what the consequences might be . Never fearing for her job she led with her beliefs to get to the heart of the subject , to seek reality and disseminate it.
With giant footsteps she led us to the light. She was very brave and not afraid to see the truth. She was a solo being so unique, and a blessing for personalize news coverage with direct voices of those who sat with her.
She was America's diplomat and Ambassador of world news.
We miss her and listen now to her disciples on The View so we can
be aware and informed and remember her.

                                                        BETSY DANIELS (CENTER)   IN MEMORIUM

My cousin Betsy died at age 96.  She was labeled as one of the five top designers in the

children's wear field.  She was a star in the industry .  Her designs were always shown in

the NY Times and Women's Wear Daily.  She was fun and youthful, and described as a cross

between Raquel Welch, and Rita Gam, who reminds you of bouzouki music and Melina

Mecouri.

It was her fun and youthfulness that made her designs appealling.  Co-partner in

Shutterbug and latter founded Doodlebug,Jitterbug and Doodlebug.

She said "I like  clean lines, unexpected fabrics,  and vibrant colors, with a sense of humor.

Graduated from the progressive Bard College, she also designed dolls for the Franklin Mint.

She will be missed.
