JOHN GLENN said, "get the girl, if she says (the numbers) they're good, then I'm ready to go."

A NEW YORK FIRST, when the audience applauded after the movie  'HIDDEN FIGURES"
from the original book by MARGOT LEE SHETTERLY.  The story of three black women, overcoming  segregation,
math majors that affected the NASA programs.
Ms KATHERINE JOHNSON, was the girl who calculated Astronaut Glenn's trajectory, was awarded the Medal of Freedom, 2015; MARY JACKSON became the first black engineer at NASA; DOROTHY VAUGHAM became an expert in Fortran programming for the first IBM computer  at Langley, NASA
