Ms KATHERINE JOHNSON, was the girl who calculated Astronaut Glenn's trajectory, was awarded the Medal of Freedom, 2015; MARY JACKSON became the first black engineer at NASA; DOROTHY VAUGHAM became an expert in Fortran programming for the first IBM computer at Langley, NASA
